The Socius BJJ member app
Most gyms teach whatever comes up that night. We wrote ours down. Every Socius member gets their first 90 days mapped out, the white belt basics with steps and video for every move, and a kids season parents can actually follow. Miss a class and it is still here.
Two programs
Ages 8 to 12
A full season built the way kids actually learn: games first, technique inside the game, live rounds every class. Nine four-week blocks from September to June, with stripes and belts awarded three times a year in front of the families.
Getting off the bottom, half guard, takedowns, the turtle, submissions, passing, guard retention, then chaining it all together. Parents sign in to see every class by date and title, and the calendar is open to anyone.
See the season calendarAdults, beginners welcome
Most people quit jiu-jitsu in the first three months because nobody told them what progress looks like. So we wrote it down. Your first 90 days are mapped gate by gate, and the white belt basics run from surviving to attacking, in the order they build.
Every move gets a written breakdown: the starting position, the steps, two or three cues, the mistakes beginners actually make with the fix for each, and a video picked by a coach. Gi and no-gi. You mark what you have got.

Four gates, each with five plain-language milestones you tick off yourself. No belt politics, no vague encouragement. Just a clear read on where you are and what comes next.
Days 1 to 7
First class survived. You learn the tap, the shrimp and the bridge, meet a coach and a partner, and know how to book your next one.
Days 8 to 30
A 2 to 3x a week habit. Etiquette and hygiene down, gear sorted, and one escape that works under a live partner.
Days 31 to 60
You know the map. Light rolling starts, two escapes are reliable, and you stay calm and breathing under pressure.
Days 61 to 90
25 to 30 classes in. Four escapes, a sweep and a pass of your own, full rounds without gassing, and your next goal set.
The white belt basics
The order is the point. You learn to survive before you learn to attack, and every block assumes only what the block before it taught you. Each group carries its own positional sparring game, so live rounds train the thing you just drilled. It is not a countdown: it is what every white belt should know and keep reviewing.
